Use this guide to understand the export options that the tool QR Batch has.
Creation of a batch of QR Codes involves selecting a QR Code category, uploading data, adding design, and choosing the export options. Once you complete all these steps, you will be taken to the confirmation and payments screen.
In this guide, we will provides details of the export options that the tool offers:
A. Images
Using QR Batch, you can export the batch of QR Codes as 'images' in the following file formats—PNG, JPG, SVG, EPS, PDF, DXF—via a Zip folder. For each QR Code a different image file will be created, with the name as ‘filename’ column value in the data input. You will need to specify the size of the images in inches, cm, mm or pixels
Given below are a few helpful tips:
- If the target destination of the QR Code is web (email, website, mobile app, etc.), then you can export the QR Code in raster format i.e. PNG or JPG. Note that raster can also work with small-size print jobs such as business cards. In raster formats, you can provide the image size in pixels or physical dimensions (inches, mm, cm) assuming 300 DPI. The minimum size of an image can be 300 pixels and maximum is 6,000 pixels
- If the target destination is print (especially prints larger than A4), then export the image in vector format (EPS, PS, SVG, and PDF). Popular image editors such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, and Sketch 3 (Mac) can import these vector image formats. The size of the vector image can be increased or decreased infinitely through the above editors, without compromising on resolution
- Please note that if you are using 'Custom with Background' design option then you can export the image of QR Code in raster format only (PNG, JPG). The image size will be the size of the background image imported
B. Labels
Using QR Batch, you can also export a batch of QR Codes as label sheets (A4) with each sheet having a designated number of QR Codes. The file format of the label sheets can be PDF or DXF.
You will also get the option to choose the label sheet layout. For each layout, you will get the following information: QR Code size, Labels per sheet, Margin, Shape, Compatibility (Avery, etc.).
Here is a table with details of available label sheet layout options:
Labels/QR Codes per sheet | QR Code size (Square) | Compatibility with Avery sheets |
80 Labels | 0.75 inches | Avery 94102 |
48 Labels | 1 inches | Avery 94103 |
20 Labels | 1.5 inches | Avery 94106 |
12 Labels | 2 inches | Avery 94107 |
12 Labels | 2.12 inches | Avery 94105 |
9 Labels | 2.5 inches | Avery 94104 |
