Use this guide to know how to duplicate a batch created using the online tool QR Batch.
If you have created a batch using the QR Batch tool and want to create the next batch with the same design of QR Codes and export it as the previously set format, this new feature of duplicating an existing batch will help to do so.
While duplicating a batch we have to enter fresh content whereas the following data associated with the existing batch will be by default copied to the new batch:
- QR Code Category
- Batch Type/Export Type
- Image Size
- Label Size
- Image Format
- Label Format
- QR Code Design
- Canvas Design
Please follow the below steps to duplicate a batch:
- Go to the QR Batch tool and Login
- Click on My Batches and hover over to the Action column
- Click on the three dots in the Action Column
- Now click on the Duplicate option
Now, the existing batch you created is duplicated successfully and you'll be redirected to the Enter Content screen (ENTER DATA/UPLOAD & REVIEW DATA). Here, we have to add fresh content to the duplicated batch to proceed further.
To add fresh content, please refer to this article: How Does QR Code Bulk Generation Work?
Note: While duplicating a batch, you can only enter data on the columns that were used in the original batch.
Once you have added the fresh content to the Enter Data/Upload & Review Data page, you'll then be redirected to the Verify and Make Payment Page. Here, you'll be able to edit only the QR Code Batch Name as all the other specifications have been duplicated.
Note: In Enter Batch Name field the name of the new batch will be in the following format: “Duplicate of <batch name>_ DDMMYYYYTHHmmss”
Example: Duplicate of Batch__09122022T031202
You can either edit the name of the duplicate batch or the new batch created will have the default name in the above-specified format.
